GET READY FOR ACTION
Jump into action with Kids Trail Mascot “Bucket”. This little snail’s passions are fitness and outdoor adventure. Bucket is sure to help you find fun activities for kids all along the trail!
Action Equals Good Health
Being active means being healthy. And children’s outdoor activities lead to fitness. Since Bucket is so inquisitive, she can’t wait to explore and burn off some energy. Her friends Shenny, Ridge, and Fungi aren’t as excited about fitness. Nevertheless, they are a team and find fun in each other’s adventures.
Outdoor Action on the Kids Trail
Bucket regularly exercises on the Kids Trail. In Winchester, she explores Abram’s Creek Wetlands Preserve and Virginia State Arboretum. She also finds kid friendly adventure and action in Loudoun County. The KT gang often visits Bear’s Den in Bluemont. And they take monthly guided nature walks on the Chapman DeMary Trail in Purcellville.
Bucket makes frequent family trips to Shenandoah National Park – and even takes her dog. Likewise, she loves to camp in a yurt at Shenandoah River State Park. And one of her favorite birthday presents was a WILD GUYde adventure in George Washington National Forest.
More Action with Bucket
Not only is Bucket inquisitive, she is fearless as well. She enjoys river rafting and ziplining in addition to paintball and laser tag. In the winter, Bucket and the gang head for the slopes at Massanutten Resort. And in the summer they splash around at the resort’s water park. Because she plays for free with her parents, Bucket’s also learning a new sport at Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club.
The Shenandoah Valley is a four season family playground. Check out our Facebook page for more fun things to do with kids.
