Open Tuesdays through Sundays, the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum in Winchester offers interactive exhibits, experiential play, as well as summer camps experiences for kids, pre-K to10/12 year olds.
Museum visits include children learning to collaborate in the Apple Packing Shed, experiment with physics in the Roller Coaster area, relive history in the Native American Longhouse or explore the human body at Health Works. Creative play options and programs that focus on science, math, the humanities, and the arts truly allow kids to “discover” a range of concepts.
The Discovery Museum is the perfect place for birthday parties and out-of-town visitors. Exhibits and programs connect to Virginia Standards of Learning, making it ideal for school groups and field trips.
